If you are looking for some interesting and exciting places to enjoy caravan holidays there are some really great place you might want to consider out in the Australian Outback. There are a vast variety of different places all over the Outback that are great for caravan holidays and here are just a handful for you to consider.

Big4 Wycliffe Well Holiday Park, NT – In the tiny town of Wycliffe Well you will discover that UFO sightings can be as common as the dust on the ground and it is known around the world to be a real hot spot for supernatural activity if that is what you are looking for. You will discover in all the local haunts that they are decorated with different newspaper clippings along with photos to back up their claims. There are plenty of interesting sites in the area to see as well.

There is Devil's Marble National park or you can take a nice walk in the Davenport Ranges. Visit the bushland and enjoy all the native wildlife that is found around Lake Wycliffe, all work the time to experience.

This caravan park is also a great haven for those who love birdwatching and it has a nice pool and a kiosk that is set in nice landscaped gardens. Their accommodations range from self-contained cabins to nice shady camp and caravan sites.

Roma Aussie Tourist Park, QLD – This nice tourist park offers such things as the Big Rig which is an interesting and quite different experience you will be glad to tried out. There is the Oil Patch that offers interesting stories, facts and photos about Australia's oil and gas industry. They also have a Night Show that is an outdoor light and sound show that is a presentation of early 20th century exploration for oil and gas.

You can hop on their Roma Express miniature train and take in all that is offered by the 1.4km circuit around the entire complex. You can visit Bungil Creek and visit all the surrounding park-lands as well. The park offers motel rooms, cabins and places for your caravan.

Big4 Oasis Tourist Park, Coober Pedy, SA – This is a great spot that is quite unique, you can tell just by the fact that they turned a historical water tank into an indoor pool for their guests enjoyment. If you want to be able to enjoy the park at its best it is best to go during the Opal Festival that is held during Easter.

Attractions include underground shops and cafes, a guided Opal Mine Tour, The Great Australian Outback Cattle Drive, the Painted Desert, The Breakaways and Moon Plains, Lake Eyre North and William Creek. They also offer a great golf course for those golfers. Their accommodations include holiday units, budget ensuite cabins, studio cabins, camp sites and powered caravan sites for great caravan holidays.

Discovery Holiday Park, Cloncurry, QLD – This is a great spot for those who have a pioneer spirit and love history especially the history of this area. You can check out the flying doctor museum, the Cloncurry-Mary Kathleen memorial park and museum, the mineral display that is located in the old post office.

Just outside of town you'll discover two cemeteries that include the bodies of Chinese miners, Afghan, and Baluchistan camel drivers that worked the area many years ago. At the park you can use the camp kitchen and relax in a nice shaded camping area with your freshly cooked meal or you can choose to camp in their powered caravan sites or their cabins they have to offer.
